This year Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking (AMH) of Anchorage will give two $1,000 awards in Pia's name to skiers who qualify for the Alaskan Junior Nationals Team.  The winners are Logan Hanneman from Lathrop High School and Esther Gallant Kennedy from Service High School.

Pia was a young Alaska outdoor enthusiast and student. She enjoyed nordic skiing , rock climbing, mountaineering , soccer, traveling, academia, reading and more.

Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking (AMH) of Anchorage gives awards in Pia's name to one male and female who qualify for the Alaskan Junior Nationals Team.

Applications must be in before the start of the state high school championships at the end of February, at which point AMH will pick the recipients.
