The Pia-Margrethe Denkwalter Memorial Fund at the Alaska Community Foundation and Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking (AMH) of Anchorage are presenting these two awards in honor of Pia Margrethe-Denkewalter.  The recipients were chosen from among members of this years' Junior Olympic Team.

Pia was a young Alaska outdoor enthusiast and student. She enjoyed nordic skiing , rock climbing, mountaineering , soccer, traveling, academia, reading and more.
