The Regional Elite Group (REG) and Development Group Camps are a central element in Cross Country Alaska's efforts to develop Alaska's Junior skiers into world class athletes. The camps are an excellent opportunity for Alaskan Junior skiers to develop their technical skills and train with other top skiers from across the state. Both Camps feature top level training and instruction by US Ski Team Coach Bryan Fish. The United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) participates in these CCAK development camps as an opportunity to identify up an coming elite Junior skiers from Alaska. Camps are open by invitation only based on performance during this past season. Criteria and Select Team lists are posted below (click on article title). Alternates for the REG Camp are picked from the Development list in order. The REG Camp will be July 14-19 at Hatcher Pass and Anchorage (schedule TBD). Members of the Development Group are invited to an abbreviated camp July 18-21 in Anchorage. |

The following link will take you to the USSA website. The Cross-Country section of their website, while updated very sporadically, is a good resource for parents, skiers and coaches.
